Iñigo Loizaga

Engineering Director at CIE Automotive
He holds a Master's degree in Materials and Mechanical Behavior from Mondragón Unibertsitatea and an Electrical Industrial Engineering degree from the University of Engineering of Bilbao. He started working with José Ignacio López de Arriortua in 1998 as a design engineer and has been working at CIE Automotive since 2002. He has been involved in different product development and manufacturing process projects in the automotive world. Iñigo Loizaga has strong links with the industrial, research and university community. He was president of CIC marGUNE since 2007. MarGUNE brings together companies, universities and research institutions in order to prepare the industry for the challenges and opportunities of the future in the field of high performance manufacturing involving more than 300 researchers. He has been a professor at the University of Deusto since 2014 and was a professor from 2014 to 2017 at Tecnun University of Navarra. He has led several collaborative R&D projects in the areas of manufacturing, automotive and electrification. Projects carried out by Spanish, European and international consortia. Currently with a strong focus on climate change and environmental, product and process risk analysis and mitigation.
